I wonder will Netek consider using IBM new Compiler for OS X G5. It could make Lightwave perform better.

Perhaps you should post this question on the "Netek" forum.

I think that's a question better left to people that have actual knowledge, such as Newtek's programmers.

I think you will find that compiler is still a Beta version, so not many folk will release commercial software with it until it's been around for a while and the bugs are ironed out.

you will also find that IBM's compiler is in all Likelihood Not Compatible with MetroWerks CodeWarrior, which is owned in whole by Motorola, and used in the dev of LW.
And even if it is compatible, IBM's compiler in all likelihood is simply a speedy and buggy answer to Intel's speedy and buggy compiler. Nobody is meant to use them, in the real world.
There are Plenty of less destructive things that Can be done without throwing the baby out with the bath water.

I don't know about that, Ted.. Is IBMs VisualAge Compiler like you suspect XLC and XLF to be? And what makes you think IBM will follow Intel "with a speedy and buggy compiler that no one will use"? The compiler is based on IBMs VisualAge compiler and is world class. I'm hearing *very* positive things about it.
