Hi there mocappers..

I will have several questions on mocap issue and i BEG your help..

1- I have downloaded several free mocap files, including truebones, When i use BVH import and use BONE SCALE factor in that panel make it smaller (0.025 for truebones for example ) I end up having lots of extra bones on the joints. There are almost twice bones in mocap skeleton.

If i dont use Bone Scale factor everything is fine. Can somebody check that?

Is there a workaround for this? I dont wanna scale whole mocap down via NULL after its importing process. Because then when i replace my 1.70 m character it gets HUGE because Scaler Null do the opposite. I hope it does make sense...

2- Is there BVH combiner-mixer out there...affordable. If there is then with IKB help i ll solve half of my basic mocap problems.

3- If i need to buy a commercial package for my mocap needs. Which package you would offer. Which data is almost perfectly clean?

If you guys also write your issues, tricks all new mocap bees like me will be very happy. I really wanna see what is doable in LW in terms of Mocap

1 - Ok, THAT shouldn't be happening. all Bone Scale should do is rescale the rig and keyframes to a desired amount. usually 0.025 seems to be right on the money to get it into lightwave at about 2 meters or so. It shouldn't be adding any more bones than whats already there. thats very weird.
What version of Lightwave are you using? Maybe readad all your plugins?

2 - Animeeple is free (although the FBX plugin for it went up in price recently, but you can use Collada, thats still free.) Pretty good system for combining BVH files and editing them together. There are 1 or two issues
with getting the resulting file out and into Lightwave, but check out the Animeeple thread in the forums here for workarounds.

- Will.
