Good afternoon,

I'm working on producing a show for a local TV channel (the community channel on cable) and I'll / We'll need a signed letter from the station saying they will air it.

Does anyone have an old or form letter they could post?

no idea, search the web for "how to write a contract"
or, as OnlineRender says, get a lawyer.
(or, write it, give it to the lawyer to check)

afaik, it doesn't really matter how it is done, as long as it has a date, date of launch, and two signatures.

I've dealt with the them before, but just producing specials not a running show.

Basically we just need something concrete that we can show to potential investors.

oh, make it "look" professional then.
but most of the job lies within how you communicate with the investors.
it's sort of a language of it's own, "sales-language"

that could be an idea, ask a sales man to look at it.

Luckily I won't be communicating with the investors directly.

I assume the cable company has a standard form letter for this type of thing.

I'm just seeing if anyone else has done this before.

Just a thought but you might want to remove the references to the people/companies involved as Google will index the page and they probably won't be too happy with turning up on searches.
