If you install and use the firefox browser, then you have to install the download helper plugin for it..then you can download the videos as flash files or mp4 files.

http://www.downloadhelper.net/
I tried orbiter aswell, but it sucked for me.

Creating a subdivision surface / subpatch cube with rounded corners -
This video was created in Lightwave 3d 9.3. It is a very basic modeling tutorial showing how to apply some of the basic principles of subdivision / subpatch modeling to create a flattened cube that has rounded edges and corners. The source model (lwo) is also available for download.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 5.2MB / Length: 8:39

Cutting a subdivision / subpatch hole through a cube -
This video continues where the last one left off and shows how to cut a hole with rounded edges through an object using subdivision / subpatch modeling while keeping all of the polygons as quads. The source model (lwo) is also available for download.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 16.6MB / Length: 14:40

Creating an extruded cube off of the face of a subdivided object -
This video works off of the model created in the first video as well. It covers the principles of adding the needed geometry to a subdivision surface object when extruding areas and shows how to minimize the added geometry while keeping all of the polygons as quads. The source model (lwo) is also available for download.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 29.7MB / Length: 14:13

Create a curved object with rounded corners -
This video was created in Silo 1.4. It shows the constructions of a very simple subdivision surface object that was a part of a curved bench which was used in a 3d scene I created. There is no audio in this video, but you can follow along as I create all of the needed geometry to give the edges nice smooth corners and shape the object itself. The final subdivision object is composed of only quads.

Application: Silo 1.4 / File size: 5.2MB / Length: 8:39

Creating bottle / screw threads using subdivision surface modeling -
This video shows how to create the threading you would find on a bottle or a screw using subpatch / subdivision surface modeling. The video also demonstrates how to fix a few common problems that may arise during the modeling process. The final lwo model (which is available for download) is composed of all quads.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 28.3MB / Length: 17:30

Creating 'X' and 'T' pipe joints using subdivision surfaces -
This video shows how to create both X and T pipe joints that have smoothing in the weld areas in Lightwave using subdivision surface / subpatch modeling. Also shows how to keep an all quad workflow in the model. The final lwo model is available for download.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 29.1MB / Length: 17:12

Modeling a perfume bottle with subdivision surfaces (Part 1) -
This video shows how to create the main body of a perfume bottle using an all quad workflow with subdivision surface / subpatch modeling. Two different LScripts are also discussed during the modeling process.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 32.6MB / Length: 19:38

Modeling a perfume bottle with subdivision surfaces (Part 2) -
This video continues with the modeling of the bottle, and then moves on to the creation of the top nozzle.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 42.6MB / Length: 14:49

Modeling a perfume bottle with subdivision surfaces (Part 3) -
In this video, we continue finishing off the nozzle and add in the spray hole into the front of the nozzle. Then we create the tube that comes out of the nozzle and goes into the bottle.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 28.2MB / Length: 13:21

Modeling a perfume bottle with subdivision surfaces (Part 4) -
In the fourth part, we learn how to create the liquid that fills the bottle. We also review how to model in a meniscus around the border where the liquid comes in contact with the sides of the bottle and the sides of the tube.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 22MB / Length: 11:16

Creating a DNA double-helix model in Lightwave 3d -
In this video tutorial, we cover the creation of a DNA double-helix strand by using the strength of the lathe tool and the power of some math and the clone operation. The final model is a clean model that is subpatch ready. The same technique can be applied to a high-res poly model as well if needed.

Application: Lightwave 9.3 / File size: 18.8MB / Length: 12:17

Modeling a compound curve cutout on a subdivision (subd / subpatch) object -
In this video tutorial, we show how to cut out a curved object out of another curved subdivision object. In this specific example it shows a flattened cylinder being cut out of another cylinder. There are no extra plugins required for this tutorial. Although this tutorial was created in Lightwave would work in any modeling application (Max, Maya, C4D, Softimage, Wings3d, Silo, etc) that has subdivision surfaces and allows either vector moves or point slides. The video tutorial also shows and easy way to cap off the ends of a 24 sided cylinder in quads only.

Application: Lightwave 9.6 / File size: 53.5MB / Length: 23:00

Here's a great tutorial on animated charts by Joshua (meatycheesyboy): http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/lightwave/newtek_lightwave_adobe_after_effects_lightwave10_s cripting_modelling_tutorial/

If I had to introduce someone to LW, I would probably send them this tute because it goes through a detailed workflow from object creation to animating, including how to incorporate nulls, Expressions, and sliders. Can't wait for his Part 2.
