View Full Version : It works! reposing rigged lightwave mesh inside vue 8 ple

Thanks to collada support..

well I tried to rig a mesh directly in layout and then export to collada for import in vue 8 ple, didn´work at first.

I then tried creating the skelegons in modeler and convert it in layout
and that worked, so it´s fully possible now to rig meshes in lightwave
and then import it to vue 8 and when youre inside vue 8, click on the subobject and the skelegon editor menu should popup, and you can repose the rig with vue´s handles.

I only tested a simple mesh thou, Yet have to test animated objects.

Yepp ..animated figures from lightwave to vue 8 worked out aswell..cool.
And the new sculpting tools to create cliff overhangs in vue are nice too.

I wish they could do some more work with the metaclouds thou, not
very effective to shape up clouds through spheres and positioning them, would be better with a skeleton structure or L-systems with metaball applied on them.

and no new procedural functions designed for spectral clouds still, so
that sucks still.
