Hi all, first time poster here! :)

I've got a logo with a cloth draped over it using cloth dynamics. Now i want to have the cloth pull off to reveal the logo underneath...I've been struggling with cloth dynamics and the manual to try and work out how to do this but to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas/solutions?

so what happens if you keyframe the cloth-object to be pulled towards the positive Y and unveil the logo ?

You could simply fix the points of the cloth that you want to pull from and then put a bone in the cloth and animate the bone. The fixed points will follow the bone and pull the rest of the object along.

The basic work flow would be use a very dense quad mesh as the cloth object.

In modeler, make the cloth object a sub patch object.

Run the initial simulation (with subdivision order set to last which will allow the calculation to run on the quad mesh) which would include the animation of the bone at the right time to pull the cloth away.

Then after you have a simulation you like, save the cloth simulation in the file tab of the cloth object.

Now you can set the subdivision order to first and set the render subpatch level to a level that will look nice in the render.
