"Your're right, gclayton. In short, though, despite having trouble with that file type, I have been able to replace that ".txt" extension with the ".key". For some other reason, though, this particular issue is being extra-stubborn. So it's off to the 9.6-discussion threads". And here I am. Anyone experiencing this to be a problem here in this batch of threads?"

Please help if you can. It's still an issue... with 9.6.1 beta...

To spell it out:
the path, my computer>local disc C (usually)>program files>newtek>lightwave 3D 9>programs (... and make a new folder entitled "config">
Now once you've been able to make a notepad entry with the license.key and not the usual "license.key.txt", with the 16 digit number "xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx".

my computer>local disc>programs>newtek>lightwave 3D 9>program>config>license.key
and not with the .txt on its end?

But something else is wrong and some are trying to figure this out on our own. Not having much luck I'm afraid to say.

Has anyone been able to successfully enter their license.key into lightwave yet? Any other workarounds for this particular problem??

Hi Marshun,

if you have trouble with your license key file (named: license.key) for 9.6.1, you should post that exclusively inside the LightWave Open Beta forum (http://www.newtek.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=185).

For now, your problems most probably arise from the fact, that the actual OpenBeta key period has expired and NewTek is late in entering new OB-keys to the registered users:

Hope this helps a bit.
