View Full Version : dopesheet showing keys that were never made

when i open the dopesheet sometimes there are a whole lot of non-existent keys showing up

if a scene never had any frames beyond the initial 60 how could they be there

they aren't on the timeline - is there any reason or way to avoid this!!!

I'm glad I never had a job in customer support. You do not provide much in the way of hints for things to rule out or lead on. Would you mind providing us with a screenshot (and preferably scene file) so we can atleast attempt to interpret the situation for ourselves?

My first wild guesses:
1. Its a bug. (which none of us can confirm because you do not provide hard data).
2. You have misunderstood the dopesheet. You think the keyframe markers are for positional/rotational/scaling channel(s) only, when they can actually represent alot more channels belonging to that item.
3. You are unknowingly starting with a default scene that is loaded instead of an empty scene, and this scene contains the extra keyframes.
