View Full Version : Zulu - Rigged Character for 9.6

So, it having been a few months since my rigging training, I thought Id upload a full featured, tooled-out character for everyone to play, and have fun posing/animating with.

Nothing new or exciting really for those who have my training, but hopefully good fun for those who dont.

I would say the stock, "pull him apart to figure out how the rig works", but as those who have the training will no doubt attest... he's pretty complex, making such a thing much easier said than done!

Anyway, here he is... his name is Zulu.

Features

IK/FK switchable everything
Full squash and stretch system
FK/Targeted/Constant Head space switching
Repinnable, space switched hands/arms
Space switchable/reversable IK spine
FK/Pole vector switchable elbow/knee pointing, with pole space switching
Full offest joints to fix gimbal issues in FK (no IK gimbal lock)
Simple face controls
Cute and cuddly!

Enjoy!

 Many thanks for this. I am slowly working through your excellent tutorials and will try rigging my own character before I take a look at this, then I can see where I went wrong :D.

Cheers

Yes, RH training is well worth it! It is the Rigging defacto for character animation in LW!
