View Full Version : Save all motions?

I have an object with 9 layers, and I have hardfx and collision detection
on all of them. I have tweaked and perfected the motion I need.
However I can only save each motion file (.bdd) individually from the file/save motion tab.

Is there a way a save all of the motions into one file?

Thanks in advance,

Remoc

I assumed Remoc was looking for a way to avoid having to save each motion file individually, like the 'Save All Selected Motions' options in the PFX panel which combines all emitters into one. Awhile back I tried the Rube Goldberg manuever with MDD_Pointer that Cagemen had suggested, http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83693 and it worked on simple tests for me but it just would not work on some complex meshes at that time as the point count insisted on jumbling. But this is all too convoluted.

Maybe someone knows of a free LW-to-Maya type plug to scan a scene at once. But it occurred to me that RealFlow's free Import/Export plug for LW should allow you to save all the deformations at once into a single SD file. Export works in a snap without even having to first bake each of your deformed objects, and the SD then imports all the objects and deformations into RF fine. But I have never needed to import the SD back into LW and it is not working now that I try it. Not sure if I am missing a step or if maybe the plugin has fallen out of date again. Anyone gotten the SD import to work lately? I read that someone else was using the SD to convert LW scenes to Maya. This would be a nice, free time-saver to have working.

I too would like to see a bake scene to mdd and merge all objects. This would be very usefull tool to me. If someone hasn't already made a plug, they should...
