View Full Version : Remove fog contribution from a surface - possible?

I'm attempting to work around an HDInstance issue where the 'unaffected by fog' switch does not work, and nor does the fog level value get respected. So I wondered if it was possible to undo the fog contribution using Nodal.

I've tried using a subtractive linear colour gradient with the alpha based on distance to camera, but that doesn't seem to be working as well as I had expected. I'm no doubt missing something obvious - can one of the Nodal gurus please point me in the correct direction?

Would it be possible to just add a fake fog using the gradient method to the objects you do want fog on instead of trying to remove it from the hdInstance?
