I've been working on this character's fur in the WIP forum. http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103263

And out of that process... this is the finished image... at least for now.

Thanks yall.

Here's a full body render. I don't think the pose is quite right yet, and I really need to re-rig this guy... something I'd rather let someone else do.. ;)

Will post his little robot sidekick at some point.

I think you need to keep the pose but put one arm/hand shading his eyes like he is looking at something :)

I want to see his sidekick! :D

Gotta admit that's some quality FFX, & rendering. Definitely has a Pixar-ish feel to it. soldier.

This is amazing work, I just love what you've done with FFX, and the character is excellent! The ony think is maybe hand-paint some of the textures on his suit a bit more as it looks a little procedural-y still IMHO. Can't wait to see more of this project though!

Wow that looks fantastic! What's photo and what's real? If everything but him is a photo... it's still a pretty amazing comp job! :D

Cool!

Riding a Squirrel would probably be even more difficult than a bull, since they are so skittish and fast moving... Are you planning on compositing the 3D characters onto live action for most of the film or will there be some 3D sets too?
