I was trying to find a decent panoramic view of the English Countryside to stick on the windows of this train I'm rendering (to simulate landscape outside).

Google found me this site:

www.panoramio.com (http://www.panoramio.com)

Which had some fantastic photos on it, all decent resolution too.

It's a bit like www.woophy.com (http://www.woophy.com) another great photo site.

In particular, I wanted to point out this guy (Matthew Walters) (http://www.panoramio.com/user/1295), he had some fantasticly long panoramic shots (http://www.panoramio.com/user/1295/tags/Panorama) of exactly what I was after!

They are quite a few in there that would be very useful for archvis work, outside windows and the like.

Check it out!

Cheers
Matt

cool links!

Here's some great 360 sky panoramas too.

Some of them are up to 15000px wide.

I don't think you can use images from Panoramio for commercial work.

Oh, dang, to be honest I never even read the terms!

Yep - all of their stuff is put online for others to see but not use. I've a few on there myself, I'd be a bit peeved if I found them pop up in commercial stuff without knowing :)
