Hi Folks,

I've been looking for a source for some simple CAD drawings of some homes to use the LWCAD toolset with. Has anyone seen some resources for old plans or something to practice with?

Yes I know I can scan things in from a planning book but they seldom give all four sides. Again, these can be plain Jane houses, I'm just looking for something to work on.

Loved the Tutorial by Larry on the Robie house; get it if you are at all interested in archviz using LW.

Thanks in advance,

If it's for personal use I can probably dig out some old projects, I must have a bunch of CAD files already converted for use in Lightwave. Send me a PM with your email and I'll forward some.

Also look for PDF format on the net, much easier to find, and you can convert them easily back to dxf or eps for import into lw.

Use the 'filetype:' flag in google.

Go to your local half-price bookstore and look in the crafts, woodworking or home improvement sections for plans. I've found books with thousands of home plans in this way.
Googling "house building plans" got me lots of stuff; try this one:
