What's the difference between [DFX+] and [Digital Fusion]. We just got DFX+ and are wondering how the upgrade to Digital Fusion would benifit.

DFX+ is just a modular version of DF. DFX+ allows users to buy only the modules they need (for example, you may need the particles module, but not the paint module). DF is the whole lot.

Thank you for the reply. We have dfx+modules, I should have stated this before. dfx+modules is still dfx and not Digital Fusion, right? I'm not sure if there are any more modules to add. Is there anything else that separates the two?

DFX+ is limited to 8bit per color channel. DF offers 16bit and floating point too. One GREAT feature I miss in DFX+ is the creation of macros. That's a REALLY usefull feature and macros are much more easier and powerfull to reuse than a group of nodes.

There might be other advanced features in DF that I'm not aware atm.

Cheers,
Andreas
