Hi all, I have a particle setup where I'd like the edges of each particle to be feathered off (to transparent), so what I've done is applied about four or five Fast Fresnel shaders with transp=100 and angle=0 (edge_transparency really doesn't do what I want), but when I render I always end up with something like this...

What I'm looking for is real transparent edges (so different particles can overlap).. is there some way to achieve this on a per-particle basis?

Try using a gradient set to to incidence angle n the transparency channel rather then use a fresnel shader. This gives more control.
You also might try using sprites.
