View Full Version : Modeling a pants belt, how to conform surface to curves?

I am modeling a belt, like you use to hold up your pants. It is made of a box with segments, so I can make it droop up and down. I seem to remember reading about how to make the surface texture, a repeating pattern, conform to those droops as I move the points up and down, but how to do it escapes me. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Generally you would create a UV map.

Sounds like you haven't UV mapped it?
Model it straight, UV map it, and make an endomorph with the droop downs?

Thanks for the help. I wound up using a procedural texture and it looks fine.
