Great News Newtek. I don't suppose Chuck, you know how long Newtek expects (or hopes) that the beta will last? Or is it until you feel it's good enough and no real time parameters?

Until we feel it's good enough. Cocoa represents a lot of major changes in the code and we want them to be very solid for v9 owners. :)

I've been patiently waiting for the 9.6.1 beta for some time now and it's very nice to have it finally come down the pipe for testing.

Um. Okay, it's been like 5 days since I registered the 9.6.1 Open Beta and I still don't see the Open Beta thread in the forums, what gives? :stumped:

Wow, the system indicates I don't have any registered products! I'm at home with flu, so no way I can get my serial numbers.

CHUCK!!! I demand an explanation! :D.

PS - Titus, weren't you with the flu back in march? Flu again - sucks, dude. I hope you get well soon, man.

Same here too, can't see the open beta forum and cant find the 9.6.1 in "my downloads"

And while we're at it, same with that Core thing, no download and no forum visible. And where is the T-Shirt ???

Would be nice if everyone who bought the update and Core gets an Email explaining how to access the open beta and Core, would make life much easier for us and for Newtek.

Any ETA on when Kray and LWCAD will be compatible with the beta? Or is this not a priority?

Me thinks he is pretty busy because they work on the registration software, thats why Core is delayed until that is fixed ..... i think.

"It may take up to two business days for your NewTek Discussion Forums account to be modified to allow you to see the private section for the LightWave Open Beta program area. Please go to the forums often, log-in, and scroll down to find the section entitled 'LightWave Open Beta'."

Two business DAYS, or months ?

Yeah really, 2 days or 2 months?

it's only a 60 day license key...

... CHUCK!!!

Are you emailing customer services to get their assistance with the issue? Are they answering your emails? If not, I will ping them to set your status. Can't promise I'll have any luck, but I'll deliver the nudge.

That would be a question for the Open Beta forums. And probably for the makers of Kray and LWCAD. I'm not aware of any changes that would break them for the Windows builds, and if Cocoa changes are problematic then those products would need to be updated to account for that, and to have new versions compiled for Mac 64-bit operation as well.

Hello,
License keys are set to expire after 89 days once this has happened or a new build has come out that reqiures a new beta license key please feel free to contact us at Customer Service and provide the lock id that shows when starting the beta and if it's for 32 bit or 64 in turn we'll get you a new license key!

Best Regards,

Still nothing for me about 9.6.1... and I'm in the Core beta test, so I think they are not linked ;)
