View Full Version : modeler: need to delete several hundred layers

i would like to use the layer window (F7) to do multiple select, but i have to click on each layer, i can't shift-select. anyone know of a good way to select 600 layers of a 1200 layer model? the layers of interest could be filtered by name with a wildcard expression, but i don't know where to find the tool to do such a thing.

i found a possible solution here, but the script is broken:

thanks in advance.

try the mentioned script in 32 bit. also worth mentioning that the intent is to "add layers" to your foreground selection, so keep that in mind. if you have all layers selected and try the range select script, it won't work.

The script worked here. What error do you get?

i get:

"Line 34, invalid control identifier provided to getvalue()"

i contacted the author and he said it was likely a 64 bit thing, and to try to restart modeler. his worked in the 64 bit modeler as well. he suggested this type of error was common with lscripts and 64 bit. i didn't explore the issue since i managed to make it work in 32 bit, but may try further when the opportunity presents itself.
