Just thought I would mention that for the second year in a row, at the Mid-America Emmy awards, I took home the Emmy for animation.

The majority of my reel (both years) was 3D work done with Lightwave.

Ditto - would love to see your work.

Congrats (yes you should hang your head in shame for being so damn good - not!)

Thanks.

The winning entries should be posted soon. I'll attached a link to my reel when it's up.

Sounds good!

In the meantime, perhaps you have a moment to update your website ;) ..

Well, NATAS is a little slow with posting to their website. So I uploaded my Emmy submission to YouTube.

Now for my obligatory disclaimer of this being TV production, we work with no budget and even less time. And we're not allowed to edit the pieces, they have to appear as they did on-air.

I used the default Speed Edit YouTube setting. Does anyone know how to boost the quality out of Speed Edit?

Nice Work!

Are you using Serpent to animate the spiraling cord in the clip that goes around the guy and ends up as a mouse cord?

Thanks

I tried a lot of different techniques for the cord. Started with using morphs and spline control then tried the fertilizer plug-in. Finally, what worked the best with the most control was simply a really tight particle stream and hypervoxels.
