I have world of warcraft model veiwer. I am trying to get models from it into lightwave 3d, with the textures.

Since exporting a model as a lightwave obj from wow model veiwer doesn't work, I am exporting it as a wavefront obj and using Biturn to convert it to a lightwave obj. I was able to get a model into lightwave that way, although it does not have any texture.

If there is a way to solve this, or another program that might do better plz let me know.

did the model at least retain the UV map?

You need to export the model as a Milkshape format, then from Milkshape export it into Lightwave.

Make sure to merge your points.

You'll also hafta re-rig the character, but you'll at least get everything in at a good starting point.

did the model at least retain the UV map?

No it didnt. Everything is one surface color, named default material.

You sure there is no UV coords map on it?
The entire object being 1 surface is normal.
