1st off I got Sorenson 5 to read the speededit avi wrapper file
which was cool but it seemed to take way longer to squeeze out
a .flv file than just rendering out an avi and then bringing that into Sorenson without using the wrapper.

Anyone using the wrapper method Speededit to Sorenson?

also anyone have luck with getting Sorenson to read a SpeedHQ file?
I swear I got it to read and squeeze a few times now Sorenson it keeps failing every time I try????????

If I could get Sorenson to read SpeedHQ files and render it would
really make my workflow more efficient!!!!!!!

anyone got any good work flow tips or advise on this topic in general ?

SpeedHQ is proprietary to SpeedEdit. It probably won't work.

If the target .flv is 320x240 you could probably get away with DV Type2.
If you are going large (640x480), maybe you'll have to try BGR24 avi.

If you don't need to crop or batch transcode, you could also render right from the VTSpeedEdit/Standalone SE timeline. A quad-core system should be able to handle up to four simultaneous transcodes.

It should work as SpeedHQ becomes a system-available codec once installed. That is if all of this is being done on the same machine.

You may also do some tests to see which is better for the web: flv output of SE or Sorensen.
