View Full Version : Seeking basic dynamics book

I have searched high and low for a book covering basic dynamics. I'm talking about things like simple collisions, maybe soft body and fluid dynamics as well.

I have found a basic physics book, nothing in there on dynamics. I found a couple that were little more than forumlas, it did contain a lot of stuff on trajectories and stuff like that, I'm really looking for something a little more simple and generic.

Has anyone run across a book that just give the general concepts of collision and other dynamics, or is there even such a critter on the market.

I tried amazon, not much luck there. Dynamics alone results in way too many hits to weed thru.

I've been kind of wondering about this myself. I've just started learning about programming because my ultimate goal is to write programs and such for 3D work. I'd love to find some good information about dynamics and such...

Andre Lamothe's Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus has some good physics stuff in it. In fact, after taking a look at the book after a very long time, it looks like it might have some stuff in it I can use.

Thanks for the tip, that first book, Physics for Game Developers looked like it had a lot of good theory in it and wasn't just a bunch of formulas. Looked like exactly what I was looking for!
