Has anyone seen "The IT Crowd" yet?
This may be the funniest show I have ever seen!
British Comedy...Not available in US on TV that I know of...available on Netflix (streaming / DVD)
Very, very, very funny!
Laughed out loud hysterically on many occasions during almost every episode.
Can't remember laughing that much while watching TV in a long time...

Check it out!

IFC runs it sometimes as part of their Automat lineup (which also includes The Wrong Door and IDeal).

The IT Crowd is wicked funny. Only thing wrong with it is it runs with a laugh track, which is SUPER ANNOYING, luckily when the DVDs come out they give you the option (by default actually) of not having it.

I still fall over laughing when I think about the boys giving Jen the Internet and it gets crushed.

Supposedly there was a US Pilot with the original MOZ and Joel McHale as Roy, but I havent been able to track it down. Supposedly it was bad (ala the US Red Dwarf pilot).

I've heard of this episode but I haven't seen it yet...do you know which season it aired? Or even the name of the episode?

Superb show. I absolutely love the boss in the second series.

The boss in the first season was pretty great too though...

I love "the IT crowd", funny and geekish as hell.

I love the show too. I wonder if there's any chance of it showing up on Adult Swim like a few other other British shows have, such as Dark Place, The Mighty Boosh. Maybe The IT Crowd is not wild enough. Though, some of the actors from The IT Crowd are in Mighty Boosh, Dark Place, so it might be a natural next step to air the show now that we are familiar with them. Heck, there's even a model of Drinking Crow on a desk half the time.

The football episode is hilarious.

It may come as no surprise that I recommend The Mighty Boosh too. :) Also try Green Wing for something a bit different.

Its one of the Third Season episodes, I believe its called The Speech. I'm pretty sure season three is out on dvd through amazon and BBC America's websites.
I think theres also entire episodes up on youtube. Might be on one ofthe other places like Hulu or even I tunes.

I hope to god they do another show. Just thinking about it there are so many funny moments. Literal
rolling on the floor bits.

I also suggest The Mighty Boosh (which isn't as laugh out loud funny as the IT Crowd) and Green Wing.

Whenever anybody asks me for help with their computer I still ask them if they turned it off then on again.

Sure would be great if they could squeeze off more than 6 episodes!
Not at the expense of quality of course...but 6 just goes by so fast!

"The Speech" is the best episode...have it on my ipod
"This Jen...is the internet"

We are comming here, doing your jobs. (I'm Polish)

Both are very good. Much better then The Office. :) But still I like Little Britain little :) bit more.

Cool thing is if you live in UK you can watch It Crowd and Inbetweeners free on Channel 4 website - quite good quality and with subtitles.

It may be a bit too odd for most but if British comedy floats your boat, check out The League of Gentlemen (http://www.leagueofgentlemen.co.uk/newvids1.shtml).
The first series blew me away.

Green Wing is good too but again, possibly a bit weird for some.
(And if you like weird, check out some of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer's early stuff. The Fast Show from that generation too. Genius)

The Office is, I think, the best comedy series ever made. A lot of the subtleties are hidden under visual/schoolboy stuff but it's that depth that really sets it apart.

Agree, Agree, Agree. :-)
Some of the people behind league of gentlemen have done a new show called Psychoville (Mostly I think its Reece Sheresmith), which has a similar bent as League.

Ah the Fastshow! Monkfish! they edited it to bits when it ran here in the US. I think it was on BBC America late at night.

Reeves and Mortimer! classic stuff. Anybody remember Dave Allen at Large? Similar vein. I remember bugging my parents to stay up late and watch it when i was like 8 or so. Cant remember what channel ran it, maybe WGBH out of boston or something. That, Reeves and Mortimer,
Monty Python....

You should also check out Coupling. Sometimes not Laugh Out Loud, but so true, and the writing is brilliant.
