View Full Version : Is there a way to control intensity of multiple lights with a single slider?

I'd like to control the intensity of a gang of spots with a single slider -- is there a way to set this up? I've tried, but keep getting one slider per light. If the solution is obvious, I'm missing it.

Yes but doesn't the global control ALL the lights in the scene? I have other lights I don't want to change.

Create a master channel.
Link the intensity envelopes to that master channel in the graph editor/
Create a slider for the master channel.

The most easy way bluesmike is to create a set of your lights that you want in the scene editor under favorites or in the current items under the filter and you name them as you want.So every time you want to change them you select your set and then hitting p for light properties you change the intensity
as you want. Now for sliders you have to make some expressions....
i have to search for a good tutorial that i remember about, and to post you if you want.

No problemo! :)
You can also use the scene editor to get all the light intensity envelopes into the graph editor at once. Once there you can multiselect all the channels in the channel bin and assign them to the master channel at once. The whole process should take just a few seconds. Setting up the slider actually takes longer :)
