View Full Version : Bouncing particles

I've got some particles in liquid that gets stirred up, stops stirring, then stirred up again. So for now I have them going up, then gravity pulls them back down, essentially how you wold make fireworks. But I can't get them to go back up a second time. I tried setting Y velocity to go up a second time in the graph editor, but nothing happened. Any ideas?

Reverse the gravity effect?

EDIT: Or add a second negative gravity modifier that is stronger. Also a wind FX could do it if it was timed correctly.

Oh I've never used the gravity "objects", didn't even think of it, thanks.

cheat and use a collusion object and bring it into the scene ,or set them to bounce against a hidden object theres a tut by proton on rain somewhere deep in the forums , may give you a better idea .

I needed more control so I ended up cheating more than that even. There aren't that many of them so I'm just manually animating them with the help of a null.
