Hello All.

This is just a simple question. I'm trying to find a good method for closing off a cylinder in such a way that it tapers off smoothly in sub-d.

I've tried several different variations based off of the two basic methods show in the image.

So far I've not found anything especially smooth.

I know this is laughably simple, but I'd really appreciate any ideas anyone has.

Thank You Very Much in advance.

Happy Modeling!

PS: by the way your object look ok to me in render time, in the attachment.

Thanks Probiner for digging those posts up for me. I knew I couldn't be the only one to pose the question.

I see that the render looks ok, but the nose does taper off kind of squarish. Oh well, I probably need to add more geometry.

At least I know I'm on the right track. Thanks!
