View Full Version : UV Flipping Issue

Hey Newtek,

I am working on a model that I am uv mapping. When trying to flip the UVs on the U direction the flip command seems to only flip some of the UV points which just makes a mess out of my map. Here is an image of what it's doing.


I also exported the mesh as an OBJ brought it up in another program and did the same flip UV operation to show that it does flip it correctly in the other product.


I was hoping this could be fixed in a future point release. BTW I am using LW 9.5 Win 32

You need unweld then use flip UVs and then use merge point them when u done!

ya, after I posted this I tried unwelding points and was able to accomplish what I was after but I still think they should fix the issue and not have the user have to figure out a work around. If anything they could code the Flip UV option to automatically unweld points when it does the operation then reweld them when complete. This will speed up workflow. As I have shown in another program I don't need to do the unweld verts step.
