I know I have done this a long, long, time ago...in a galaxy far, far, away. I want to map a video on to a plane and I know LW will step through the video 1 frame at a time as it renders each frame. You can also tell it which frame to start the video at, but I just don't remember how. Can someone help? The forum search thingy seems to be broken. Thanks.

Try the image editor button near the top of the left button pane.

then make sure the image, once loaded, is set to sequence.

see if that gives you some help :-)

If I select a .mov or .avi I get a message saying file type not supported. I can't see anyway of importing an image sequence without having to import each individual file 1 at a time. I went through and reloaded all the plugins as I recently installed 9.6. By the way, I'm 64 bit, could this have something to do with it?

yeah 64bit has VERY limited codec for 64bit
fire up lw32bit.

yep, i would say it may be the 64-bit, because i have no problems here with 32-bit and a .wmv.

just tried a sequence as well and had no problems. you just have to load the first image and as long as the rest of the sequence is in the same folder the image editor should unhide the 'sequence' option.
