Iconic 80's teen movie director John Hughes died of a heart attack today. His movies were the best and a staple of my childhood to teenage years. My sympathies to his friends and family.

Totally agree.
Man, the dude made some of the best movies of all time, IMO. Pure entertainment.

This is very sad news indeed.

I loved so many of his movies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Weird Science, Breakfast Club, all classics sitting in my DVD collection.

I really liked Miracle on 34th Street, don't own it, but it's a lovely heart warming movie.

He gave us so many wonderful cinematic moments and superb quotable lines.

Will be sadly missed. :(

Wow, that's sad to hear, i grew up on his movies.

He's probably the best thing the 80s had to offer.

:( This is very sad. A large part of my 80's DVDs are his films. And only 59, atleast his family can remember how many millions his films have entertained.

Sad to hear him go like another victim of heart attack!

Dont know about other movies, but Home Alone was indeed very well received here aswell!
