A simple dissolve between clips played out from your list or melt would be swell also. Yes.

Totally agree - a simple fade with an option in the Preference as to the speed of the Fade would make the playlist look much more professional

Fades or dissolves would deffinitely be a great feature

Agree also but is that feature why an EVS costs a whole lot more.

I would consider one of the current output modes, the single switched output, to already be doing a "0 frame dissolve"... just add another 10 or 11 frames to this mode of operation and everyone will be happy... :)

think of it this way...

a cut is just a very fast dissolve, or a dissolve is simply a pro-longed cut.

Hi Steve,
I already own a 3Play and very happy with what it will do, but to expect it to have a feature that is available in the EVS system at a much greater cost is wishfull thinking, sure I would love to have this option but the reason I have a 3PLAY is because I can't afford a EVS.:D

Nevertheless, based on personal experience, I would not become too firmly set in that view - NewTek has surprised me more than a few times over the years (even recently). :)

So current system as is, when playing your 3 different angles of the same play, it just does a hard cut between each clip?

Yes, when playing events in succession it is just a cut between them.

I vote for an update with transitions.
I think there is a moral debt to 3Play users. The only product. that has not evolved since its inception.

You can set a dissolve on Doremi and it also is a low cost server.

Greetings...
I see today the announcement of 3play 820. So do you think we should give up hope on dissolves for our 3 input units?
Cheers.

I was hoping for a less than $22,000 dissolve effect.

Well its a much better deal than EVS 4 channels, $55,000 and no disolves...
This is professional equipment, keep that in mind...
Newtek has given us the tools to do PRO TV, at less than half the cost of what was out there.

If you have the original 3Play 330, then you could update to a 3Play 820 for only $17,995 not $22,000.

No update path yet from 330 to 425.

Wasn't complaining, this is a feature request forum correct? Where people share ideas to make the already great products even better? If the forum said "New Product Announcements" I wouldn't have posted about the 330 not having fades because that would be complaining.
