Add a Null object named smoke_Null, then parent it to the stroke_Null object.

now how do you do this, how do you PARENT smoke_Null to a stroke_Null.

also, I have a ring, I want the smoke to touch the ring, like it is hitting the ring.
how is this done??

Please Advise

To parent something to something else:

1)go to schematic view in layout

2) select the child (in your case the smoke null)

3) hold down ctrl and click on the parent item (stroke null)

note: depending on what results you want you may want turn on "parent in place" from the layout options tab, this will make sure when you parent somethign it will stay in the same place instead of jumping to the "parents" position.

to get your particle to collide with teh ring:

1) Select the ring object

2) hit P to bring up the object properties

3) go to the geometry tab and add a "FX_Collision" modifier to it and go to the collision properties and change the "type" to object

you should dig into the documentation about how to control the collision effects furthur then that...usually when i do an object collision i turn the radius to 0 or .00001

good luck

I tried, but nothing, you think you could send a attachement of how a smoke would hit a a object.
so I could study the scene then I could just modify it

Thanks for all your help
