I could swear that I saw a tutorial on how to make individual controls for character morphs that floated around a character. Does anyone know how to do this. They were like sliders and dials you could program for specific morphs.

U mean like my facial setup as per my site, or rig reel (in my sig)?

The simple answer is expressions. You use maprange to link the position of nulls to the value of morfs... for instance the Y+/- to jaw open close, etc, etc... Its just mapping one set of 0-1 values (null positions) to another set of 0-1 values (the morf values).
