View Full Version : Quick Question about render order

07-06-2009, 04:43 PM
So i have to deliver a scene with about 153 frames tomorrow morning, And i have 2 computers in the house. I was thinking to use them both to render.

I wanted computer A that is faster to render from 1 to 153 and B from 153 to 1, so when they meet i can stop both.

But Lw doesnt seem to allow countdown render. :\

Any idea?

Of course i could set 1-100 and 101-153. But thsi way one of them might finish first. And merging them this way i get optimal time

Thank you in advance.

I think that you might have left it a bit late.

You can render backwards, I think that you just set the start at 153 and the end at 1, possibly set the 'step' to -1.

If the computers are on a shared network I'd seriously consider using a render manager such as BNR (http://www.liquiddreamsolutions.com/web5/index.php?option=com_jumi&fileid=4&Itemid=159)...you might even be able to use the trial version for this job although the personal edition is well worth $55, I'm using it right now.
