It's 1.8 megabytes in size. I think that's a little on the heavy side for a single image. Besides, it doesn't seem to work. All I get is a single line of pixels.

    Oooh, smooth!

Can you post something where there is both rotational and directional movement?

Closed beta stuff should really stay on the closed beta forums.

Not if NT want to market to customers outside of the Beta program.
Which call me crazy, is exactly what they should/need to be doing.

OpenBeta people are already aware of the new MotionBlur/DOF, it's everybody else that needs to see it.

I cranked up everything to a maximum here..nearly..just to see how good it looks! All the balls we see here is HV surfaces

Skytracer 2 (highest quality) and the default light is arealight-quality 5...which is not really
nessisery in scenes like this. Camera set AA to Classic Enhanced Extreme-
RF-Classic (generally I prefer Mitchell (Soft) but here I forgott to turn it on.)

    RT Shadows-RT Reflection-RT Transparency-RT Refraction-Depht Buffer AA-
and Noise Reduction was On. Rendertime 29min...and remeber that my pc is not that fast and that all my settings was set to maximum.

Anyhow..I`m sure that Lw9 New Motionblur will suprise many users

Will test more later and with F-Prime. Rocks!

What happens when you use settings that aren't totally insane, like area light quality 3, enhanced high AA and so on?

Also, noise reduction does no good at all in a scene like this, I would bet.

well, Tiger, sorry to dissappoint you, but the motion blur in v. 9 is exactly the same as it is in 8.5, 8.0, 7, 6, etc.... If your throwing the PLD filters into consideration then its at least the same as it was in 8.5.
The new motion blur algorithms didn't make it into LightWave 9.0.
