    Advanced Edition question

This might be an obvious question, bear with me please.

I've got the TC8000, and it has two network inputs, one we use for chyron, and one we use for livetext for special occasions.

With the Advanced Edition, it talks about the NDI's, do these operate the same way as the NET1 and NET2 inputs? Say I was to get a second livetext machine, I could have my chyron and two LT boxes at the same time?

    Hi Joe,

With AE, the NET inputs are replaced by NDI inputs. You can no longer receive iVGA sources or other typical "network" streams, but NDI is so much better anyway! LiveText 3 has the option during install to be set up for NDI, so no issue there.

I believe with the 8000 and AE, you will then have inputs 1-12, rather than 1-8 plus NET1/NET2. ANY of those inputs can be set to an NDI source, not just 9-12. Very flexible setup. You should also have at least 4 unique NDI outputs available that you can configure to any source.

AE is a great investment for many users and many reasons.

    Thanks

Does Chyron offer NDI output? If not, Newtek has the AirSend Updater that runs on third-party software that would use AirSend and converts that output to NDI

Just found this for Chyron NDI support - http://chyronhego.com/press-release/...eo-workflows-o

    Thanks
