Gumball Watterson Facial Expression Endomorph Test

    Hi,
here is a very, very early work in progress rendering for endomorph test purpose only, of the famous Gumball Watterson character inspired from Cartoon Network "Amazing World of Gumball" series.
I like this show very much, so I will in the future realize some fan art based on characters of the series, and I want to create a complete, combinable, set of the incredible facial expressions seen in the show, but replicated in true 3D.
The intentions are obviuosly for hobbystic and portfolio enrichment purposes only, but i will try to replicate in the most credible way the characters.
I'm very happy with early results: just started modeling the sublect this afternoon at 2.30 pm, I have already ended the base model and created a basic facial expression set of 16 endomorphs at 8.00 pm. Soon I will terminate the Endomorphs (i will expect a set of at least 32 only for Gumball) and will began to work on weight maps, skeleton and model refining. Interesting is the attempt to replicate the convexity on the face of Gumball derived from the fact that in the 2d tv show the Gumball and other characters face is almost ever seen in an ideal "Three-Quarter" Way, I can say like an Ancient Egyptian ierogliph. I've worked on the model vertexes very much to obtain the same effect in 3D, especially, I work in the perspective view at about three-quarter horizontal inclination to adjust the points directly in a point of view similar to that of the 2d cartoon. Very interesting, and I must say that the guys at "Cartoon Network" must be real artistic genius for having conceived a so effective design. I'm Really curious to try to replicate somewhat similar in 3D. And I'm enjoying like a madman, trying to replicate the absurd and exhilarating facial expressions of Gumball.
At this point, the rendering is a complete mess, but please note that the typical disgusted/confused expression of Gumball is relatively well replicated using only 6 of the 16 endomorphs that I've created so far.
Glad to have the opinion of the community on this fan art project
I will post new images soon
    Goodbye

I'm not familiar with this character but would love to see some animations as well as still images. Wish I was as good at character animation as you are!

    Some new Facial Expressions

Added 2 "Whole" endomorphs that instead of modifying single characters modify the entire face traits. (image 1 and 2). They still can be combined with other endomorphs, using some caution (image 3)
    Bye
