What camera on a budget would work for NDI

I'm looking for a camera that would work with NDI. I have a budget that is not large. I want something that would give me a good quality picture. It does not need to be a PTZ but zoom would be a must.
I also want to know where I can find a tutorial on how NDI works. Anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Currently, the only camera with NDI that is available today is the NewTek NDIHX-PTZ1.

PTZ Optics and Panasonic will also be adding NDI support in some of their units by the end of the year. These units are PTZ as well.

Another option is to get any camera you like and use a Connect Spark or a BirdDog unit to covert the HDMI/SDI signal on it into NDI.

As for learning NDI, the best thing I would recommend is download the free NDI Tools and install it on two computers, then you can play with sharing video between them.

Okay, so I look at the Connect Spark and see it has HDMI and ethernet. How does a person supply power if you want to use it away from power like on the sideline of football? I'm going to look for a manual for it. Do you know where one is?

I'm sure the manual will be posted up soon now that it is shipping.

As for power, the unit comes with a DC power adapter. Otherwise, I would imagine that you could rig it up to work with a D-Tap power connector from a battery pack. The power requirements for the Spark are 12V 1A with a max of 4W power consumption.
