    LiveText RSS Feed

    Hi there,

I am staffing a separate computer to feed live-flow text into the tricaster about what's happening in the program. Rather than spending $995 for LiveText on that other computer, since all I need is the feed text to be typed in there, can I use the RSS feed feature? Any hints/suggestions or examples on the best process for this are much-appreciated.

    Thanks!

I have found a couple general training videos on LiveText, but can't find resources on how specifically to use an RSS feed or LiveText on a separate studio computer to feed commentary into lower-third of live programs. Any help/links are much appreciated!

Hey there, thanks for the link.

That video shows how to create a static bit of scrolling lower-third text that LOOKS like a live twitter stream but it's not live, it's pre-recorded.

I want to input a stream of LIVE dynamic commentary updates in the lower thirds, like "second grand slam today!" &etc. Looking for more specific instructions about how best to do this. The documentation mentions inputting an RSS stream, that might work but am looking for a bit more specifics and/or advice.

    Thank you!

I think that there is an Newtek NDI package for Adobe Creative Cloud Products that you can take things live right from Premiere, so you could setup the scroll, paste your text into it and play it right from Premiere and take it as an NDI Source for a live feed.

You can display text fields that supply DataLink values that are automatically updated from an RSS feed in a title. What you can't do is put them in a scrolling or crawling overlay.
