It's true, this is the effect. We've been working very hard to really put flesh on the bones of what NDI really means to future pipelines and workflow, and the process for all of us has been a long series of forehead-smacking "Holy Cow!" moments where we said "I really didn't get how big a deal this is until now!" Total signal access, everywhere really does change everything.

The input module.. can it be a standalone 4x SDI to NDI IP converter or does it only work using the mix engine.
I'm guessing if I want to colour correct, or have waveform or vector scopes i'd need the mix engine. ?? Or Can I control any of this from my TC ?

Am I correct presuming the studio input module will give me 4more NDI inputs on my TC if both are on the same network without any other pieces of the new IP series?

Also does it ISO record local or again do I need the mix engine for that, and where does it record locally to internal HDD or in the mix engine or onto NAS ?

The Input Module can run stand alone from the engine and simply convert 4 SDI sources to NDI for use on a TriCaster or anything else that accepts NDI in. The Studio Input module has its own Scopes, Pro Amps and color correction.

This is all correct. I just wanted to add that the input module supports more input types than just SDI, although that is obviously its main purpose. For example, you can connect the network output from supported PTZ cams as inputs, or a webcam ...

When will Tricaster be able to detect a 4k Camera Feed?
