Particles and other geometry
Hi all, I was toying around with this tutorial(http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial...d_time_freeze/) and although they use Max, I was able to achieve the same thing in LW using a slightly different method.
My question is can you create a particle system, but reference and object or objects geometry as the particle itself? (as he does on the tutorial @ 14.40)
I'm using LW 9.6 on a Mac Pro.

p.s. BTW does anyone recommend a super sick crash course book for LW? or DVD training? or any sort of training?

Download DPInstance from here:

With this plugin you can instance items to particles.
Just select your particle item, and add the DPInstance plugin to it in the Object Properties>Custom Object plugin panel. Then open it's panel and select the items you want to instance. Then press ctrl-f6 to bring up the Volumetric panel and add the DPInstance volumetric plugin. Hit render and voila.Push the software, don't let it push YOU!

Essential Lw9 is a very good book. it sounds old but it works
