    Hydraulics Setup - Layout LScript

Continuing my efforts to give something back to the community... Here's a small script to makes setups for hydraulics (cylinder/piston).

    • Use this script in a separate scene, then use "Import from scene". Problems can occur otherwise.
    • The cylinder and piston shall NOT be parented to each other.
    • Make sure the two objects are modeled so they meet each other. Just as they would in real life.
    • Set the pivot points of both objects correctly.
    • Run the script
    • Select Cylinder Object and Piston Object
    • Select which rotation channels shall use IK.
    • Click OK
    • Now you can move either object and the other one should follow.

Oh, this script can eventually crash your scene and might be buggy, that's why I suggest to run it in a separate scene. or at least SAVE before use.

Please, report any bugs you find here.

That's it for now, have fun

Yeah, for sure put 'em in the cloud I'll check out lwplugindb.
Have you seen my other two script threads? "Layer Selection Tools" and "Radial Move". You can put them at lightwiki also if you'd like to.

    Thanks!
