    Smile Head textures...almost done

    Still working on that dude...
I'll soon start the body textures but I still have to model his outfit and finish his teeth first.

    Comments are welcome.

PS:The BG is real but temporary.
The wireframe can be seen here:Wireframe

Just noticed when i followed the link for the wire, someone said it looks like Tom Cruise, i was thinking that myself when i first looked at it, but the chin is the main diff, if u covour the bottom of the chin up(with your hand or scoll it off the bottom of the screen) it looks very much like him. Was that intentional or just coinsidence?

... it looks so real ... great work !

this is the best CG head i have ever seen, in any context. i refrained from commenting on it in the old forum, but i just had to now due to the fact that i have showed it off to numerous people as an example of just "what lightwave can do." amazing stuff!

Really good! Im very impressed. Did you use G2?
    Hello world!

Nice Model! It resembles Tom Cruise. The current image looks a bit dark, the ears a little too high in the Y+ axis, the white part of the eyes too much reflective.
I donīt know if it was your idea to give a wet look to the skin, if it was, looks very real in that aspect.
But anyways you still working on the details, good job.

Wow, stunning work! One of the best CG males faces I've ever seen.

Any chance of seeing a close-up wireframe of the eye area, I always seem to make a mess of this and was wondering what the geometry is meant to look like when it's 'done right'

Also how many maps does a model like this have?, cos the texture looks so real! I saw the color map in the other thread but was wondering what kind of spec, glossiness, bump maps you use to get such a uber-realistic look?

Incredible work again! Looks more real than Final Fantasy!

Wow! Awesome work, Ripper...as a Max convert, I'm still getting the hang of Lightwave. Can you tell me what type of modeling approach you used on this?

    thx,
    steve

Looks really awesome! There is one thing that looks a little off to me, and I may be smoking crack here... his irises look slightly elongated.

They don't look elongated to me.. are you sure it's not just the aspect ratio setting on your monitor?

Thanks a lot for your comments.

I don't use G2 at all... I already explained the reasons.
As for the textures... there're 3 layers so far: color, bump, reflection.

I've been doing some changes lately...I also change the lighting so that you can see it better.
