Zoom Wave Files crash speed edit

I just bought the Zoom H-1 from Samson, which is a very popular digital recording device but almost every time I transfer wave files from it to Speed Edit, the NLE crashes, at some random point after the transfer.

Any one else have this problem?

I have my zoom set to 48k samplerate and it works fine.
I have had issues with the mp2 files.
Using zoom for over a year.

Thanks, Pete. I have set the zoom to 48K, 16 bit as well. Still crashes. I think it's a QT conflict.

the part of qt that sems to bother NT is the I-tunes add on.
you can get qt without it.
