Using both network ports - help, please

I am trying to connect my TC1 to the VS4000. I only have one available connection to the web, so I am connecting that to one port of the VS4000. When I try to connect one of the TC1's to the VS4000 to allow for NDI, it does not connect. I know there's some network config I need to do. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Yes, I have a crossover cable

NDI binds to all network interfaces, however if you are using a crossover cable, have to setup a static IP on each system that is in the same range (and not in the range of the internet connection)?
