This article describes how to troubleshoot black and white video input on an XD Series TriCaster.
Steps to Fix / Workaround
- Check to make sure you have your video input connected to the proper inputs on the TriCaster.
- Component, Y = Green, Pb = Blue, Pr = Red
- Composite, unless otherwise marked “composite” use the Y input.
- S-Video is labeled Y/C and connected using the Pb and Pr inputs
- SDI is labeled SDI
- If the video source is properly connected. Check the input configuration in TriCaster Live Production.
- Click gear icon next to the video input you are experiencing the problem on. Then under the connection type drop down menu, ensure the proper signal type and resolution is selected.
