Ok, I feel bad. Because I really should know this. Please abstain from the food throwing. Or if you do, at least make it tasty.

What is a node?

A node in general is a way to make data structures. In our case with the texture editor it gives us a lot of flexibility than that of the traditional layer method we had previously. The best way to see how nodes work is to check out Rebel Hill's youtbe videos. http://youtu.be/8x2GAKMvy3M that as well as checking out the manual. Hope that helps.

Unless you are talking about spline control, where the handles on the spline are sometimes (confusingly) referred to as "nodes" especially the ones created by "curve to spline". :)

Nodes can also refer to computer systems on a network that are slatted for rendering via network render controllers such as ScreamerNetII or third party render controllers.
