Oh please develop Speededit some more!

Image stabilization is available to both Premiere and Vegas,
it got me out of a lot of trouble

Grain removal too - Neat do pluggin for everything but Speededit
Somebody pay them to do a pluggin for us!

I still prefer Speededit to any other package - but just a little more before it goes away

Yep, Image Stabilization's a great feature.

Speed Edit's image stabilizer has more then once rescued a shot that a client sent to me, but had stability problems.

Dig the past tense ...liked SpeedEDIT...

I have used FCP and It paled in comparison. They would have had to do a LOT of style-copying for it to be to my taste. I mean rollover previews, overlap fades, keyframable everything, non-track based timeline, realtime storyboard editing, VST audio plugins... there's nothing else like SE.

Besides, wouldn't I have to go to the Dark Side & get a Mac for that?

not sure i understand why NT gave up SpeedEdit.
they should have made it focus on just a few areas, and make it kick.

i thought they were on the right path, wonder why they stopped.

Because there is a glut of NLE's out there.
Windows Movie Maker
Final Cut Express
Final Cut X
Adobe Premier Pro
Sony Vegas
Avid
Scratch
and for free Lightworks, and Blender has an NLE included.
And I'm sure that there are some that I have missed.

So they would have to spend a considerable amount to develope then promote the product (and promotion can cost more than developement) to try to get a slice of the market that is arguably oversaturated as it is.

before Final Cut X, SE must have been a real fast editor though.
not sure how Lightworks is as far as editing fast, need to look into it.

well, maybe it was for the best.
simple speed editing alone don't cut it i guess.

If you think it's dead, leave the Forum.

There is so much good in the worst of us,
And so much bad in the best of us,
That it hardly behooves any of us
To talk about the rest of us.
