Create Polygon on release of mouse button

Hi.
One of the recent new features for modeler was to allow the user to select multiple vertices in sequence while the left mouse was being held down.
Can this be updated\enhanced to allow the creation of a new polygon with the currently selected surface name when the mouse button is released?

This will speedup the creation of polygons big time.

The default shortcut for creating a polygon out of selected vertices is "p". It should be possible to write a Lscript or python script to combine the two actions...

Recent feature? seem to have been there for a long long time.

As for a script to allow for the selected vertices to create a poly once you release the mouse, that seems like a receipe for screwing up other normal editing selections you do ..cause it works that way by choosing two or more vertices for many operations, and if you would have a script to create a polygon once you have done that and release the mouse..you´d be swearing the days you didn´t want polygons but just editing positions and such.

Seems good enough to just have it as it is now, and hit "p" for polygons when you are certain of your selection.
If you want to place place fast polys, just draw them in with the sketchtool, hit numerical "n" and change from curve to face.

Or use the pen tool and place vertices and polys in a continuous flow
, those suggestions is for the flat polybuild faces..if you want more advanced selections and polys from already layed out points in 3D space, I would still suggest you work carefully with just selecting them and hit "p"

To note, had the pen tool worked with snapping to points, you would have the polybuild able to work on any 3D space template from points, but it´s not.
You have the line pen you can snap just like that and it create polygons, but it misses a continuous operation to draw lines from each snapped point.
