Audio Crossfades

There are so many transitions for videos between clips - yet the audio just cuts which is very jarring to the ear. Please could there be an option to add a crossfade over a set amount of frames as well please. This could be a vast improvement in my eyes.

Can anyone from NewTek give an update on this. It’s such an easy thing to achieve! As an editor most of my audio edits are soft mixes/crossfades and most video edits are cuts! Yet on the 3 play we have hundreds of ways of doing a video transition and not a single way of doing an audio transition!! Just a simple mix would be perfect, with the ability to enter the number of frames for the mix. A bonus would be to choose if the audio mix is centred on the transition or at the beginning or end.
